Policies
Attendance and Cancellation
Please cancel your session without penalty should your child or a household member have:
- Been in contact with a patient with confirmed COVID-19 or other contagious illness
- Had a fever within the past 24 hours
- Experienced recent onset of a cough, disrupted smell or taste or any unexplained respiratory problem
Inclement Weather
We follow Academy District 20 weather closure and delays. If D20 is closed for the day, then all in-person therapies will be cancelled for that day. If D20 has a delayed start, all in-person appointments beginning at 10:30 and later will be held as scheduled.
Teletherapy appointments scheduled on inclement days will be held as scheduled.
Illness
Please cancel your session without penalty should your child be ill. Illness is defined as any of the following within the past 24 hours: fever, cough, runny nose, rash, diarrhea, vomiting or other signs of illness.
Cancellations:
Progress in therapy depends on regular attendance! We understand that emergencies do occur; however, we respectfully request that you avoid frequent cancellations or “no shows”. Please provide our office with as much advanced notification for any cancellations resulting from a conflicting appointment, vacation, inconvenience, obligations for work or family, or any other event.
Cancellations of less than 24 hours or “no shows” will incur full session fees for scheduled therapy appointments. A late cancellation or “no show” for an evaluation will incur a $150 fee.
To honor schedules, please know that should a session begin later than scheduled time, it will still end at the scheduled time and full fees collected. If the therapist is more than 5 minutes late arriving at your home, it will be your choice to extend the session time or reschedule.
These policies are in place to so that your child will receive consistent, reliable and effective therapy. Thank you for your adherence and understanding.
